It might be spring but something smells like fall!

The evening started off with a delicious dinner of fish, brown rice, broccoli, and homemade wheat bread. YUM! I am trying to serve a variety of foods and was very proud of dinner tonight. After church, Haily wanted to bake some pumpkin bread. I let her do everything (except lick the entire bowl) from start to finish. I feel it's important for young girls to learn thier way around the kitchen. I certainly benefited from the fact my mom let me "experiment" often. It is baking right now and I will have a taste in the morning with my coffee.

This is only the beginning

I did it! I have set up my blog. This blog will keep you updated on my "Homestead", family life, and soon to be business. I am just learning about how to blog so forgive me as I chug along.

So, this is what's up...I am preparing to go through "Becoming the Women God Wants Me to Be" A 90-Day Guide to Living the Proverbs 31 Life (by Donna Partow). I've put into the works a Jam and Jelly business called "Jars of Joy" (thanks to Haily for the name). I see God working in my life more now that ever before-I'm just trying to keep up. I know that this is only the beginning of what is to come...
